( \frac{x}{x {}^(2) - 9 } ) - (1)/(x + 3) = (1)/(4x - 12)

(x)/((x - 3)(x + 3)) - (1)/(x + 3) = (1)/(4(x - 3))

(x - (x - 3) )/((x - 3)(x + 3)) = (1)/(4(x - 3))

(12(x - 3))/((x - 3)(x + 3)) = 1

(12)/(x + 3) = 1

12 = x + 3 \\ x = 9
