x = 6 NP = 31

Explanation:

since the 2 triangles are congruent , then corresponding angles and sides are congruent.

∠ JKL ≅ ∠ MNP , that is

20x - 15 = 15x + 15 ( subtract 15x from both sides )

5x - 15 = 15 ( add 15 to both sides )

5x = 30 ( divide both sides by 5 )

x = 6

Then

NP ≅ KL = 5x + 1 = 5(6) + 1 = 30 + 1 = 31
