The formula of a slope m:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have the points (0, -1) and (5, -2). Substitute:

m=(-2-(-1))/(5-0)=(-2+1)/(5)=-(1)/(5)

Answer: The slope = -1/5
