g(x) = f(x) + 3

Since you know f(x) = 3x - 2, you can plug in (3x - 2) for "f(x)" in the equation:

g(x) = f(x) + 3

g(x) = (3x - 2) + 3

g(x) = 3x - 2 + 3

g(x) = 3x + 1
