Answer:

C, C, B

Explanation:

C: We know LOP is a flat line so 180 degrees

C: We know OP is 8.5 and O is about the midpoint of LP so LO is the same as OP (8.5) So just double 8.5 to get 17

B: Use Pythagorean theorem
a^(2) +b^(2) =c^(2) In which a and b are the two perpendicular lines (meet at a 90 degree angle) and c is the hypotenuse. We can the insert the numbers
8^(2) + b^(2) = 17^(2)

Then solve like normal. Or enter into a specialized equation calculator. But ill show how just incase you want to know. So squared is the little 2 on all the numbers. So, it means multiply the number by its self. You get
64+b^(2)=289 Then subtract 64 from both sides to get
b^(2) = 225

Then square root both sides to get rid of the squared.
b = 15 so the length of MP is 15

Answer:

LOP = 180

LP =17

MP = 15

Explanation:

The central angle is a straight line = 180

OP = 8.5

LP = 2OP = 17

MP

using the pythagorean theorem

a^2 +b^2 = c^2

8^2 + MP^2 = 17^2

64 + MP^2= 289

subtract 64 from each side

MP^2 = 289-64

MP^2 = 225

take the square root of each side

sqrt(MP^2) = sqrt(225)

MP = 15
