Explanation:

You can find the solution of the system by multiplying the first equation by -3 and then adding together to get x to cancel.

-6x - 3y = -60

6x - 5y = 12

-----------------

-8y = -48

y = 6

Now that we have the y value, we can put it into either equation to find the x value.

2x + y = 20

2x + 6 = 20

2x = 14

x = 7

Therefore the point is (7, 6)
