Water can be formed in the following reaction:

2H2+O2-->2H2O

If you have 10 moles of Hydrogen gas (H2), how many moles of water can you form?

(Enter just the number: not the number and units)

Answer is: 10 moles of water will be produced.

Balanced chemical reaction of formation of water:

2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O.

n(H₂) = 10 mol; amount of hydrogen gas.

From balanced chemical reaction: n(H₂) : n(H₂O) = 2 : 2 (1 : 1).

n(H₂O) = n(H₂).

n(H₂O) = 10 mol; amount of water.
