Find the area of the region that is inside the square and outside the circle. The circle has a diameter of 8 inches. Round to the nearest tenth.

Answer: 13.7 in²

Explanation:

Area of Square:

A = s²

= 8²

= 64

Area of Circle:

A = π r²

= π (4)²

= 16π

≈ 50.3

Area of Square - Area of Circle:

64 - 50.3 = 13.7
