Answer:

You're equation will be: 0.75x + 3 = 36

Explanation:

You have $36 in all. 36 is the total amount you spend (assuming you spend all of it, so it should be ≤, however, it says equation)

$3 is a one-time fee for entering the amusement park.

$0.75 is a fee for every game you play.

"x" is the amount of games you play.

You're equation will be: 0.75x + 3 = 36

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Solve. Note the equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other. Do the opposite of PEMDAS.

First, subtract 3 from both sides:

0.75x + 3 (-3) = 36 (-3)

0.75x = 36 - 3

0.75x = 33

Next, to isolate the x, divide 0.75 from both sides

(0.75x)/0.75 = (33)/0.75

x = 33/0.75

x = 44

You can play 44 games in all.
