The amount of NaOH formed is 2.522 L

calculation

HCl +NaOH → NaCl +H2O

Step 1:find the moles of HCl = molarity x volume in liters

= 1.25 l x 0.228 M = 0.285 moles

step 2: use the mole ratio to calculate the moles of NaOH

the mole ratio of NaOH:HCl = 1:1 therefore the moles of NaOH is also

= 0.285 moles

Step 3: find the volume of NaOH

volume = moles /molarity

= 0.285 /0.113 = 2.522 L
