Algae have a variety of adaptations that help them survive including body structures, defense mechanisms, as well as reproductive strategies. Some algae have hold fasts that attach to the sea floor and anchor them down much like roots of a plant. Many algae, such as Sargasso, have gas-filled structures called floats.

Yes it is completely adaptable to many changes it is put through whether it be cold temperatures or hot temperatures. If you’ll notice, algae grows where there is water, no matter what the water is like. This proves the adaptability.

Have a wonderful evening!
