First you would divide -1/3 and you will get -0.333

Then divide -3/5 and you will get -0.6

Lastly add the -0.333 with the -0.6, and the answer would be -0.933

Answer:

-(14)/(15) or
-0.933

Explanation:

We are given the following expression and we are supposed to simplify the expression into one single fraction:

-(1)/(3) +(-(3)/(5) )

since both the given fractions are negative so the plus sign will also become negative when multiplied with them and give:

-(1)/(3) -(3)/(5)

Taking the LCM for both of these fractions to get:

=(-5-9)/(15)\\ \\=-(14)/(15)

Therefore, the simplest version of the given expression
-(1)/(3) +(-(3)/(5) ) is
-(14)/(15) or
-0.933.
