now what is the opposite of division? Multiplication. so times x/2 by 2 and then put (2) next to the 10. You are going to get 20 which is what x is.

`6 - (x)/(2)= 10` Subtract 6 on both sides

`6-(x)/(2)-6=10-6`

`-(x)/(2)= 4`

Multiply -2 on both sides to get "x" by itself

`-(x)/(2) (-2) = 4(-2)`

x = -8
