f(x) = (x+3)(x-2)(x-5)

Step-by-step explanation:
For polynomial graphs, if you look at the wiggles or x axis crossings, you count how many there are and it gives you the approximate power of the polynomial you are dealing with. In this case, we have three wiggles and three x-axis “crossings” (one is only touching) so we know it’s probably a third degree polynomial.

And since we can definitively see 3 points on the x-axis, we can form our factored equations from those points.

So we have (-3,0), (2,0), and (5,0). Writing these points in equation form we get f(x) = (x - -3)(x - 2)(x - 5).

Hence, a possible approximate equation for the graphed function could be f(x)=(x+3)(x-2)(x-5).
