Evaluate victors assertion, “In other studies you go as far as others have gone before you, and there is nothing more to know; but in a scientific pursuit there is continual food for discovery and wonder.”

What Victor is basically saying here is that scientific studies are far better than any other types of studies because of their relative finite nature. Thus, he is talking down other fields and talking up the scientific field by insinuating that other studies are finite because there exists a point at which information and knowledge stop and there is nothing else to know. However, with science there is always more to learn and always new discoveries waiting to be discovered.
