What similarities and differences do you see between the bacteria and the human cells? Are these cells prokaryotes or eukaryotes?

Eukaryotic cells contain membrane-bound organelles, including a nucleus. Eukaryotes can be single-celled or multi-celled, such as you, me, plants, fungi, and insects. Bacteria are an example of prokaryotes. Prokaryotic cells do not contain a nucleus or any other membrane-bound organelle.

Similarities between bacteria and human cells:

Both the bacteria and human cells contains the cytoplasm in which the cell organelle is present. DNA is present as genetic material inside the cells of bacteria and human cells. The ribosomes are present inside the cells of bacteria and human cells. DNA replication, transcription and translation occurs in both the cell of human as well as bacteria.

Differences between humans and bacteria.

The well developed nucleus with nuclear envelope is present inside the human cell and absent in the bacteria cell. The size of ribosomes differ in human and bacterial cell. Transcription and translation is coupled in bacterial cell whereas separate in human cell. The cell membrane bound organelle is present in human and absent in bacteria.

Bacteria are prokaryotes and humans are eukaryotes.
