Answer: Addition Reaction

Step-by-step explanation:

Addition or Insertion of any molecule or atoms to unsaturated compounds gives addition product.

During this unsaturated compounds gets converted into saturated compound or Multiple bonds (sp2 ,SP hybridisation) gets converted into single bond (sp3 hybridisation).

Example:

Addition of H2 to alkene(unsaturated compound) gives addition product called alkane(saturated compound)

Ethene + Hydrogen ----> Ethane

CH2=CH2 +H2 -------> CH3-CH3

The correct answer is an addition reaction.

A reaction in which two or more reactants come together to produce a single product is called an addition reaction. The product will comprise all the atoms, which were there in the reactants. The addition reaction takes place with unsaturated compounds.

Hydrohalogenation is one of an example of the addition reaction, in which supplementation of a hydrogen atom and a halogen atom takes place with an unsaturated compound.
