To find midpoint, we basically

Take the x coordinates of two points given and divide by 2 to find x coordinate of midpoint, and we take the y coordinates of two points given and divide by 2 to find y coordinate of point

Let coordinates of point B be (x,y) and A is given as (-1,8) and midpoint M is (3, 5.5), so:

we can say

(x - 1)/2 = 3

x - 1 = 6

x = 6 + 1

x = 7

And

we can say

(y+8)/2 = 5.5

y + 8 = 11

y = 11 - 8

y = 3

Hence, coordinate of point B are (7,3)
