Explanation:

slope m= y2- y1 / x2- x1

=3-(-3) / -3-1

= 6/ -4

= -3/2

Since the point (1,-3) is on the line.

x1 = 1, y1= -3

the equation of the line is

y-y1= m(x-x1)

y-(-3)= -3/2(x-1)

y+3 = -3/2x +3/2

y = -3/2x + 3/2- 3

y = -3/2x - 3/2
