The distance between Egypt and other civilizations such as mesopotamia had a relative impact for the Egyptians. While the dessert and the distances sometimes protected Egypt, distance on the other hand did not protected Egypt from being invaded, as with the Romans. Distance did not prevented either the trade with Mesopotamia.
