1.Was the 1929 stock market crash the cause of the Depression? Why or why not

No The stock market crash was most likely a serious contributory factor in the onset of the Great Depression. However it did not effectively cause the economy to implode there were serious pre-existing weakness in the late 1920s economy.

Yes it was, because everyone lost their jobs and weren't able to access the money in their accounts. So everyone became poor
