If 5 boys and 2 girls are seated at random in a toboggan, what is the probability that 4 or more boys are seated in consecutive places? Please show your work.

Answer: 3/7

So the total number of children in a toboggan = 7 (5 boys + 2 girls)

The possible arrangement could be (7, 2) = 21 ways

Boys can be seated in between the girls in (3, 1) = 3 ways

And 4 boys can be seated in between the girls in 3 ways which would leave 2 places for the left behind boy

Probability = (6+3)

= 9 / 21

= 3/7
