Buddha is always shown as peaceful and wise, and yet with great strength and power. He always appears both human-like and divine. The Buddha almost always has stretched ear-loads. The Buddha’s hair and headpiece is always a top his head, in a bun style.

Traditionally Buddha is seen as having 32 main characteristics and 80 secondary characteristics, which should be reflected in all iconic representations. Examples of some of the main chatacteristics are: long and slender fingers, body erect.
