1. If 28^3*32^n=28^3, what is n? How do you know?

2. If 30^x*30^5=30^20, what is x? How do you know?

3. If a^m*a^3=1/a^2, what is a? How do you know?

Answer:

1. n=0 2. x = 15 and 3. m = -5

Explanation:

1. 28^3*32^n = 28^3

Divide both sides by 28^3:-

32^n = 1

n = 0 ( any number to the power 0 = 1)

2. 30^x * 30^5 = 30^20

divide both sides by 30^5

30^x = 30^15

because the 2 bases are the same ( both = 390) we have:-

x = 15

3. a^m * a^3 = 1 / a^2

a^m * a^3 = a^-2

Divide both sides by a*3

a^m = a^-5

so m = -5
