A spinner with two sectors labeled A and B is spun, and a number cube is rolled.

What is the sample space for the experiment?

{A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6}

{A, B}

{A, B, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

Answer:

{A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6}

Explanation:

given that a spinner is spun.

Outcomes possible out of spin are two namely A and B.

A number cube is rolled, and hence possible outcomes are

1,2,3,4,5,6

If both are done simultaneously, then total no of combinations are

6x2 =12

They are either A or B in spin and 1 or 2 or 3.... in rolling the cube

Hence sample space would be

{A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6}
