The solution is


(3,2)


EXPLANATION

We were given the equations



y=4x-10--(1)


and



y=2----equation (2)


This is a simultaneous equation in
x and
x.

But the coefficient of
x in the second equation is zero. that is why it seems to be absent.


We solve these two equations simultaneously

by putting
y=2 in to equation (1).


Tis gives;


2=4x-10

We add 10 to both sides to get;


12=4x

we divide through by 4 to get


3=x


Hence the solution for the system is
(3,2)
