The length will be x + 5 cm

Perimeter is 30cm

Perimeter is given by (2 × length) + ( 2 × width)

2(x + 5) + 2x = 30cm

2x + 10 + 2x = 30cm

4x = 20cm , x = 20/4 = 5cm

x (width) = 5cm

Length = 5 + 5 = 10cm

Area = Length × width

Area = 10cm × 5cm = 50cm²
