Hello!

Question - What do solids maintain thier shape where a fluids do not?

Answer - The reason solids can maintain there shape is because the fact that the molecules in a solid are moving very, very slowly other than water which the molecules are moving really fast, which makes the water unstable to keep its form.

Hope This Helps!

Solids maintain their shape, whereas fluids do not because the molecules in solids maintain a regular pattern and only vibrate, or move very slowly
