How do you find the y-intercept? I have to find the y-intercept for (-9,5), (-3,3).

the slope is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m= (3-5)/(-3-(-9))

m =-2/(-3+9)

m=-2/6

m=-1/3

point slope form

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-5 = -1/3 (x-(-9))

y-5 = -1/3(x+9)

y-5 = -1/3x -3

add 5 to each sdie

y = -1/3 x +2

the y intercept is 2
