The construction of the lighthouse began on 15 March 1945. In December 1949 there was a seismic movement that bent the tower. This forced the extension of the lighting system and the deactivation of the signal. In 1966 the reconstruction of the lighthouse was organized. Currently the lighthouse consists of a pyramid-shaped yellow tower, 6 metres high, with a black triangle, the apex of which is upside down. At the top is a platform containing a solar-powered luminance torch with an optical range of 12.5 nautical miles.
