What is the common difference in the following arithmetic sequence? 2.8, 4.4, 6, 7.6

Answer: 1.6 is the common difference

Explanation:

Common difference of an arithmetic series is obtained by subtracting each next term by its previous term

Generally a,a+d,a+2d,a+3d ....,a+(n-1)d , here common difference is d .

therefore here we see that we get 1.6 if we take difference of the terms given .

here we can see that

4.4-2.8 = 6-4.4=7.6-6 = 1.6 is the common difference.

4.4 - 2.8 = 1.6

6 - 4.4 = 1.6

7.6 - 6 = 1.6

the common difference is 1.6
