let's bear in mind that a reciprocal is simply the same vale but upside down, so let's check with a couple of numbers, say 5 and 13,

\bf \begin{cases}5\\[0.8em]\stackrel{reciprocal}{(1)/(5)}\end{cases}~\hspace{5em}5\cdot \cfrac{1}{5}\implies \cfrac{5}{5}\implies 1\\\\\\\begin{cases}13\\[0.8em]\stackrel{reciprocal}{(1)/(13)}\end{cases}~\hspace{5em}13\cdot \cfrac{1}{13}\implies \cfrac{13}{13}\implies 1
