The standard form:

Ax+By=C

The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

We have m = 3 and b = -5.

Substitute:

y=3x-5 subtract 3x from both sides

-3x+y=-5 change the signs

3x-y=5
