Sam Adams started a group to communicate called:
D) Committee of Correspondace
This group's pourpose was to transmit information from city to city and from the cities to the rural areas where most of the colonists lived. They communicated by letters carried on horsebacks or ships and the information transmited was essential to the revolutionary events to come. Many of the messagers were members of the Colonial Legislative Assemblies, Sons of Liberty and even the Stamp Act Congress.
