From the tables we can see that (A) and (D) are the only two tables that have average speed of 0 for 4-6 second interval. So let's eliminate the other two(B and C) and focus on these two

Looking at tables A and D we can see that the average speed in the 0-2 interval is 1.0 for both

So let's focus on the only entry where the tables show different values ie the interval 2-4 = 2s)

Looking at the graph we can see that in the interval 2-4, the train travels from distance of 2m to distance of 3m. In other words it covers a distance of 1 meter ( 3 - 2 ) in 2 seconds

Therefore average speed at this time interval = 1m/2sec = 0.5 m/s

So table A shows the correct average speed
