1 1/3 x 2/3 = 4/3 x 2/3 = 8/9 = 1 1/9
When you are multiplying fractions, you would multiply them like you would regular numbers. first, multiply the the numeraters together, then the denominaters together.
Example: 3/8 x 5/7 = 15/56
When you are multiplying whole fractions, you need to make them improper first before you multipy. Then you can multipy like normal.
Example: 2 3/4 x 6 2/4 = 11/4 x 26/4 = 286/16 (which can be simplified to 71 1/2
Hope this helps you!
