Visually, you get amazing reflections on the water that vary from wavy to choppy to mirror smooth. As enhancements, there are the wonderful smells and the sounds of birds accompanied by the lapping (or crashing) waves. As a bonus, there’s the wonderful sensations of sand between your toes.
At the top of my list of priorities is to always live within blocks of a large body of water with either a due west view (for the best sunsets) or due East for sunrises.
