Some sources of difficulty by the speaker in the listening process are:
- Message with many unnecessary details, forgetting the point or the purpose of the interaction.
- Paying too much attention to how the other person is taking the message, or how the person might react, and the speaker gets distracted from being objective delivering the message.
- It occurs when the speaker says something with technical details, and the other side does not understand / know what is being said.
- Voice too low, or the speaker has articulation problems.
