What is the point slope form of the line with slope -1/4 that passes through the point (-2, 9) ?

•y - 9 = -1/4 (x + 2)

•y + 2 = -1/4 (x - 9)

•y + 9 = -1/4 (x - 2)

•y - 2 = -1/4 (x + 9)

The point-slope form of a line:

y-y_0=m(x-x_0)

We have

m=-(1)/(4)\\\\(-2,\ 9)\to x_0=-2,\ y_0=9

Substitute

y-9=-(1)/(4)(x-(-2))\\\\y-9=-(1)/(4)(x+2)
