You want to start off my isolating the y onto one side:

2y-10x=14 ---> 2y=14+10x

then you remove the coefficient from the left side:

2y=14+10x -----> y=7+5x

Then all you want to do is rearrange the equation to match slope intercept:

y=7+5x ----> y=5x+7
