Adolf Hilter played on the 'fear of Others'

Adolf Hitler was consolidating his power during a time of economic depression in Germany. People were looking to blame foreign powers and many 'minorities' in the country.

Hitler used his propaganda machine to spread messages of how the minority Jewish people were behind the ills of the country and how the jews had collabrated with the Allies before.

By Identifying a certain 'enemey' the Nazi party were able to rally a large population against a single enemy in the country.

This gave a sense of purpose and direction to a country where most people were unhappy.
