7y = 7

dividing by seven you get y = 1

when plugging y = 1 into the first quation you get

5 - 4x = -7

subtract 5 from both sides

-4x = -12

divide both sides by negetive four

x = 3

then with plugging in y = 1 for the second equation you get

2 + 4x = 14

subtract 2 from both sides

4x = 12

divide both sides by 4

x = 3

you then check your answers and get the point of (4, 1) for your answer.
