x = [ -)-3) +/- sqrt((-3)^2 - 4*1*-28) ] / 2

= (3 + sqrt 121) / 2 and (3 - sqrt 121) / 2

= 3/2 + 11/2 and 3/2 - 11/

= (1.5 + 5.5) and 1.5 - 5.5

Answer is 7, -4
