Do the parenthesis first (yes i do solve for 3^3 and add the 2 to it, it makes it quicker)

5 + 2[(6)^2 - 29)]

now do exponents

5 + 2 (36 - 29)

subtraction

5 + 2(7)

multiple cation

5 + 14

And add those together to get 19
