Answer: 4500 seconds

Explanation:

Given : A snail travels 80 feet in 50 minutes.

Formula for speed =
\frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Time}}

Speed of snail =
(80)/(50) feet per minute. (1)

Let x be the time taken by snail to travel 120 feet, then speed of snail will be :

(120)/(x) (2)

If rate is same, then we have from (1) and (2)

(120)/(x)=(80)/(50)\\\\\Rightarrow\ x=(120*50)/(80)=75\text{ minutes}

In seconds,
75*60=4500\text{ seconds}

Hence, the snail will take 4500 seconds to travel 120 feet.
