The answer is correct.

Solution-

The length of the side WX of the figure WXYZ = 8 m

The length of the side W'X' of the dilated figure W'X'Y'Z' = 6 m

We know that


dilation \ factor =(length \ of \ the \ segment \ W'X')/(length \ of \ the \ segment \ WX) =(6)/(8) =(3)/(4)

( If the absolute value of the scale factor is greater than 1, then the image will be larger than the pre-image and vice-versa. A negative scale factor causes the dilation to rotate 180 degrees )
