The molecules of the liquid moving one over the others, they stop doing it, when they lose heat and go down
its temperature, decreasing the kinetic energy to such point that the molecules are left moving in their place, in this way they pass in the solid state.

When heat is removed from water for example, it turns from a liquid to a gas.

The particles in water absorb this energy, giving them a higher energy level. The particles are able to change state when thermal energy is removed.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day and God bless! :)
