Given:

Total number of beans = 20

Number of blue of beans = 8

One bean is selected from the bag at random.

To find:

The probability that she will draw a bean that is NOT blue.

Solution:

We have,

Total number of beans = 20

Number of blue of beans = 8

Number of non-blue beans = 20 - 8

= 12

Now, the probability that she will draw a bean that is NOT blue is

P(\text{Bean is not blue})=\frac{\text{Number of non-blue beans}}{\text{Total number of beans}}

P(\text{Bean is not blue})=(12)/(20)

P(\text{Bean is not blue})=(3)/(5)

Therefore, the correct option is C.
