1) your first step is to figure out what n equals in this problem.

2) n=4 so now that we know that n equals 4 we can then begin to solve this equation.

3) so we will then plug in n=3 so the equation will now look like (3+3) *

4) following pemdas we simplify it to (3+3) * --> (6) *

5) then we square 6 and our answer is 36 (: because 6 times 6 is 36.

6) n=36

(n+3)^2. n=4. First thing you do is plug 4 in to n. (4+3)^2 then always do what is in parentheses first so (7)^2 so seven squared equals 49.
