PLEASE HELP!!!!

Copper has an atomic number of 29.

That means that there are 29 protons in the nucleus of each copper atom. That's what the atomic number is; the number of protons in an atom of each certain element.

If one copper atom contains 29 protons, how many ELECTRONS are in 4 atoms of copper?

Answer : The number of electrons present in 4 atoms of copper are 116 electrons.

Explanation :

Atomic number : It is defined as the number of protons or number of electrons.

Atomic number = number of protons = number of electrons

According to the question,

As, 1 copper atom contains = 29 protons = 29 electrons

So, 4 copper atoms contains = 4 × 29 electrons

= 116 electrons

Therefore, the number of electrons present in 4 atoms of copper are 116 electrons.

There are 116 electrons in four atoms of copper.

In a neutral atom, there is one electron for each proton.

No. of protons = 4 atoms Cu × (29 protons/1 atom Cu) = 116 protons

No. of electrons = 116 protons × (1 electron/1 protons) = 116 electrons
